MZANSI ARTS AND MEDIA AWARDS INCREASES THE PRIZE MONEY FOR MAMA21 TO R100 000
MAMA21 is about solidifying our brand and making good on all the promises we’ve ever made to fellow upcoming artists.
Obviously due to financial constraints and lack of sponsorship we won’t be giving R100k to each of our winners, last year we’ve paid out R62 500 to our winners this year we are just looking to increase it that’s all.
Last year we’ve given R2500 to each of our winners and also gave out an extra R10 000 to Buddies for life which won best group since they have also received the highest overall number of votes.
For this year will be awarding R5000 to each of our winners from all our 18 categories, will also be giving out that extra R10 000 to the nominee that would receive the highest overall number of votes.
Last year was the genesis of Mzansi arts and media Awards , we have faced problems like any start up would however we have succeeded and this year we are going to succeed again.
If your intentions are clear and you are 100% committed in what you do you will always find a way to succeed.
This year will be doing things Abit differently in a sense that our nomination period will be in April while the awards ceremony will be held in September.
We have revisited our drawing boards and corrected all our mistakes, we look forward to a smooth running campaign this year.
